You MUST bring your chit to get your food! NO CHIT – NO FOOD.
This is what each chit looks like.

G.O.D. SHOW VOTING (Guzzi’s On Display)
Please make sure you park in the car park of the Southern Cross Lodge for the G.O.D. Show.

We are going online again this year with some new and improved fancy tech for voting!
No more pens and paper…and Jono will be on standby to assist with tech.
At check in you will have received your personalised bike voting card – please make sure this is placed on your bikes throttle handle.
This will help all other riders know which categories your bike is eligible for.
PLEASE return these to a member of the committee after the G.O.D. show so we can reuse them next year 😊
You are automatically entered for Best in Show and Entrants Choice.
To clarify: Entrants Choice is a bike you like, but it is not Best in Show, it could be a gritty survivor type or it could lie outside one of the categories
Voting is available for the following:
- Best in Show
- Entrants Choice
- Best Chic Bike
- Best V7 or V9
- Best Original
- Best Modern 2010 and Up
- Best Sheepskin
- Royce Timms Best California
- Miles Hunter – Best Round Barrell
- Gort Forshaw – Best Modified
- Horace Harnett – Best Square Barrell
- Best Adventure
- Best Non Guzzi
Please get involved and vote for as many categories as you can 😊
Feeling Sick?
If you are feeling sick and would like to test for Covid-19, please talk to one of the committee, we have RAT tests available.
Injuries
Though we attempt to mitigate injuries, sometimes incidents happen outside of anyone’s control.
Committee Members Tony Greig and John Kinvig are certified First Aiders – they will be wearing fluro vests on the rides and have a first aid kit on their bikes in case of any emergencies.
Rider and Group Health & Safety
Before we start the rides there will be a rider briefing to let you know about expectations of rider behaviour, any known road conditions and other information about the day. This is mandatory to keep all participants safe and to ensure the ride is fun and inclusive for all. We need to remember that as a group ride, we do take up a long section of the road depending on the numbers who are taking part.
The planned ride is a group ride and not a race. It is the chance to display your bike on the road. Remember there are other road users on the same roads. We cannot afford to have complaints from the public as this will impact on the future of this gathering and subsequent group rides.
- All participants are taking part so are aware that they need to comply with the NZTA road rules that are applicable to all road users.
- The motorcycle or mode of transport complies with the NZTA registration and WOF standards applicable to the mode of transport you are choosing to use. Please ensure your ride is in good condition.
- To abide by the safety measures that have been listed as part of the Tattley Rappet riders code of participation for the group ride. We want you to have fun and we want you to enjoy your ride with other riders.
- Some of the riding routes will be in rural areas. Be aware that livestock may be present on roadside grassed areas.
- Do not pass the lead rider. This is not negotiable. This person has been selected to lead the ride by the Tattley Rappet committee for a reason.
- Ride in a staggered pattern that will allow for increased following distance between riders. Be prepared to change your position on the road in the formation if there has been rider movement throughout the group.
- If you find yourself in the position where it is necessary to pass a rider in front of you, please provide a clear indication that you intend to do so and when pulling back into the group also provide a clear indication that you will be doing this. Do not force your way into the group by cutting off other riders.
- Ensure that you allow sufficient following distance between bikes to allow for emergency stopping if required.
- When coming to a change in direction, a corner marshal in a fluro vest will be on the corner and will be there until the tail end charley arrives. This will ensure that following riders remain with the group and don’t get lost. Tail end rider will indicate that they are the last rider via their allocated fluro vest.
- If a fellow Guzzi rider has stopped on the side of the road check to see if assistance is required.
Sponsors
A massive thank you thank you to our sponsors. Please support them if you are able.
Thank You!
And finally, thank you! YOU are who makes the rally fantastic, so from all of the committee – cheers, we appreciate you.
