Labour Weekend 23th – 26th October 2026
This is the 31st National Tattley Rappet Rally for Moto Guzzi Riders of New Zealand. We thank all of those who attended Methven 2025. We hope this year will be bigger and better than ever! A must attend for all Moto Guzzi riders, and open to those who identify as Guzzi-appreciators but bring another ride.
NOTE: Entries after 10th October 2026 will incur a late fee.
REGISTRATION FEE: $25.00 per person. This fee applies if you are doing both days or just one.
Late entries arriving 10th October 2026 onwards will be $30.00 per person.
If you arrive for the weekend unregistered also $30 per person – no guarantee for meals, but we will try our best. Local day riders are welcome, but you will be required to pay the $30.00 registration fee upon arrival to one of the committee.
MEALS:
As the ride gets bigger coordinating meals becomes more challenging. This year we are taking all group meal bookings up front. Meal options are in the registration form below.
- Lunch Saturday at Egmont Boat Club. $20. Essential to pre-order.
- Lunch Sunday at Awakino Pub (Buffet) $25. Essential to pre-order.
- Event Dinner: $50 per person, Saturday night @ The New Plymouth Fishing Club.
- Sunday Dinner: $50 per person @ The New Plymouth RSA.

RIDE MARSHALLING:
With larger rides we need the assistance of more riders in the marshalling process. Anyone can volunteer to assist as a turn marshall, to indicate a corner until the Tail-end Charlie rider has turned, then you rejoin the group. We issue fluro marshal vests for use on the day. A bonus would be if you have a Senna or Cardo helmet comms system to help relay alerts or information. We will ask you to indicate your availability and to indicate if you have helmet comms in the form below.
G.O.D. SHOW (Guzzi’s On Display)
Every year we invite the community to come and check out the wide range of gorgeous Guzzi’s on the Saturday afternoon after the ride. We invite all the registered riders and the community to vote on their bike of choice in each category and to drop in a donation for Hato Hone St Johns Ambulance while they are at it.
AWARDS DINNER and AUCTION
The Saturday night Awards dinner is the highlight of the weekend. Prizes are given for the G.O.D. Show winners, and a range of other categories. After the dinner we hold an Auction of some key keepsakes, sponsors products, donated items and merch. Funds from the Auction get added to the donation to the New Plymouth Hato Hone St Johns Ambulance where in 2025 between the G.O.D. Show and the Auction we raised nearly $1,000.00
